February went quickly. Ross and Linda finished up with the H.C.G. diet after 37 days and each of us lost 25 pounds per person. Now the trick is to keep it off. It was amazing how fast we lost in such a short time. We still have a ways to go, but we are excited about the loss. It is nice to not have to measure the food before we eat and cook separately for Weston, Mattia and Fernando.
Weston, Mattia and Fernando can go through the ice cream. One carton lasts only 2 days. Weston taught Fernando to love birthday party ice cream. Fernando told Weston that he didn't like it...but he had never even tried it. Now it is his favorite. Fernando loves anything with sugar. Fernando went to a tennis tournament and won everyone there. He loves competition!
Mattia colored his hair blue (but it turned green) for Sadie's. Now I have a smurf for an Italian exchange student. Mattia tried out for the play Romeo and Juliet at Westwood High School and is the friar. Mattia also did a presentation at Westwood about his country. He did a very good job. Way to go Mattia!
Weston has been building racing couches in the back shed with Reed Allred, Josh Gross and Ryan Hineman. They put wheels on a couch and race it up and down the driveway.
February 28th Ross had cataract surgery on his right eye. They also did an incision on the eye to correct a astigmatism. Ross said that the colors are much brighter. The color white now looks heavenly. He has enjoyed sitting around and watching TV. They put a new lens in his eye and now he can see without glasses. The new lens was very small. It is truly amazing what they can do.
We also had a special visit from Kimberlee and Griffin. They came for 1 week and it went by too quickly. We had so much fun. We bought kinnect and had dance contests and played sports. We had a lunch with all the family and friends and I counted 17 toddlers under the age of 6. Griffin was so much fun. I had to rescue him many times from a nap that he didn't want. He wanted to be where the party was. It was fun for the family to finally see Griffin. He can sure spit up and we all got plastered. Weston got where he would make a grunting noise to quiet Griffin. Grandpa Ross would sing to calm him down.
Nana and Papa truly love all their grandchildren. We are so proud of them and enjoy every Sunday night when they all come over to eat and play games.
