Kids Heaven

Kids Heaven

We spent 3 fun filled days at the cabin. Grandpa needed a trailer up at a job on the Navajo Reservation, so Candice and I drove up with 5 children in a car for 6 hours pulling a trailer. Since we had to drive up there and Weston was at football camp, we decided to have fun and take the children who wanted to go. We had two 2 year olds and two 4 year olds and one 6 year old. That was a good combination.

Here is a picture of Hailie, Kate and Lucy riding the bull

It rained every afternoon and the kids loved walking in the rain and seeing how wet they could get. Candice would build a fire to dry them off.

At night Candice and I would get the kids cleaned up and in their pajamas and watch a movie before bed. Lucy was such a big help with the little ones. Whenever one of them needed help - Lucy was to the rescue. Hailie lover her stuffed animals and had to have them at night.

Gracie and kate all ready.

Aaron watching the movie

Hailie tried to be one of the big kids, but she couldn't keep up with them. Hailie would fall and trip and Aaron would be the big helper and help Hailie up. They all got along so well.

Lucy climbing on the bridge. They loved to climb on everything.

My favorite was when the Hailie and Kate would walk around for hours picking flowers and then dropping them and picking another handful. They would walk hand in hand and then sit down by a flower and pick all the flowers. Then go to the next. They never got bored by picking flowers and looking at all the bugs.

My cute 2 year olds.

Every day we would take a hike and have a picnic.

Kate was one who would not want to wear a jacket. The first day we arrived she was dressed in a tank top, skirt and sandals. She wore that for 2 days, till I had to hide it from her. She would not wear a jacket and she would not put on tennis shoes.

Hailie, Lucy and Kate walking in the green fields.

Look at me...I have freckles...or maybe I am just plain dirty. They loved it when we would drive through the mud and it would splatter up on them. It became a competition who could have the most splatters on their faces. As you can see, I think Lucy won. She was so proud of that. She grinned from ear to ear.

Aaron looks like he get it in his mouth. He was having so much fun along with Gracie and Lucy. The bigger the puddle the better.

Lucy what happened to you?

Hailie and Kate sat in the middle and missed the mud. Kate would hide behind Lucy so as to not get any on her.

So much fun and it ended too soon. We had to get home to Weston. Grandma and Grandpa had to help with a baptism in the ward. Grandma had to give a talk. Candice, Hailie, Lucy, Gracie, Aaron, Kate, Grandma and Grandpa all had a good time. Too bad that Grandpa had to work both days, but we enjoyed having him there at night.

Kids Heaven!!! We will return and next time with more grandchildren.

Cont. 2nd day Reunion

Trying to see who could throw the water bottle on the table and make it stand up.

Trying to get a vanilla wafer from their forehead into their mouth - GO Keith

Fun Reunion! It was nice and cool. Rained everyday and we had hail. Sunday as we were waiting for Nancy and Dale to return with our prowlers to lock them up we waited and waited. A big rainstorm came through and we thought maybe they were under a tree waiting for the rain to stop. Two hours later they come back to the cabin all muddy, wet and cold. Dale got lost and they drove around for 2 hours looking for the cabin. You don't want Dale to take you for a drive! They even had Ben, Clark and little Stella.
