Oregon Adventures

This was Heaven with all the flowers.  "May the peace of garden be with you."
Hunter with Aunt Candice at the Portland Temple
Gracie with her Mother, Marie surrounded with flowers
Uncle Travis holding Kent with the ocean behind
The big kids including Ross went clamming and had so much fun.  They spent hours digging in the sand digging for clams.  They toke the buckets that holes in the bottom and stuck it in the ground when they found a bubble in the sand.  We had the best clam chowder ever.
The pictures are out of order with the clams and garden.  Linda loved the beautiful flowers and wished her mother Grandma Jean was there to see all the different flowers.
Here are all the clams with the ones who dug them out of the beach.  Now to clean them and eat them.  It was something to clean them.
Went to Silver Falls and the kids had so much fun together.  It was a cold morning and with the mist of the fall it was beautiful.  Fun times
 Tillamook Factory to buy cheese.
All of us (Minus Lance who is taking the picture) in front of the falls.
They even have a flower called "Linda's Dream for $25.00
They had rows and rows of flowers of every kind of peonies.  I have never seen so many different kinds of flowers.  Here is a small picture of one table.
More pictures of them placing the buckets in the ground and then digging for the clams.
 Newport Beach with the family

Then we went to a farm that had every kind of Iris.  We came at the perfect time of year to see flowers.
What amazed me was how much fun Candice and Terra had digging for clams.  I knew the boys would have fun, but the girls.  Poor Marie and Kimberlee were left under the bridge with all the babies and little ones.  It was a cold morning and miserable, but we had so much fun.

We went to Oregon and back in 10 days.  Lance had every day planned and we kept busy.  The only problem we had was the weather was cold for us desert rats.  Gracie said that she wanted to go back to Arizona to get hot.  We ate cheese, jerky, clam chowder and all the good food.  Thanks Kim and Lance for inviting us all to Oregon.  We had a fun time

Portland Temple

We had so many in Kimberlee's house that we ate outside each meal.  Lance and Kimberlee we kind enough to host us.  Nana and Papa stayed at Kim's home while everyone else stayed at the only hotel in Philomath called "Galaxy Inn".  It was a real gem of a hotel.

Kate did not want her picture taken and she escaped.

Kent's hair blowing in the wind.  We called it his toupee
 Gracie by the water fountain
Griffin and Hunter with a reflection in the water.
 Kent with Grandpa Ross
We toke a picture of us alone by the temple and Hunter kept saying "I'm Weston, so I will stand in as Weston."  So we got a picture of Hunter and Grandma DeeDa and Grandpa Ross
Portland Temple is beautiful.

The flowers are so beautiful and Grandma and Hailie are looking at them.

Memorial Weekend Drive to Oregon

School ended and we all jumped in the car to travel to Oregon to visit the Jennings.  We stopped in Lake Tahoe and spent the night there.  The Van Cleve's room had 3 queens in it, pretty cool but the floor slopped and Hunter thought that was so cool.

 Aaron buried in the sand

Nana & Papa with the little ones.  The Van Cleve's didn't want to get up at 2 am to leave so they missed this picture.  We left early so the little ones would sleep.  It was pretty hard on Alexander to sit in a car for 11 hours so we left early.

Hailie getting buried with the help of Papa and others.
Big Al trying to bury Aaron
Nana with her big glasses.  She looks like a bug.  The wind hurt her cancer eye so the big goggles protect her eye.
We finally made to VooDoo doughnuts and everyone had to try one.  Aaron is eating one covered with fruit loops cereal.
 Kate taking a big bite.

Phoenix Temple

Porter Brothers is building the Phoenix Temple and on May 14th they placed Angel Moroni on top of the temple.  They had a luncheon for the family members and workers.  They had Angel Moroni on the ground and let us take a picture up close.  Ross and I were lucky enough to attend.

Grandma Jean was so happy to be alive to see her sons build the temple and Angel Moroni placed on top.  I am sure that Dad in Heaven is happy too
Angel Moroni flying through the air.  It was a very special time to see Angel Moroni up close and to see him placed on the top.

Grandkids - Got to love them

Big Al loves to eat and he enjoys his food.
Hunter hugging his cousins.  Hunter is called the cheer leader of his family.  Full of energy
Grandpa and Nana toke the little grandkids to the cabin on April 27th and it was cold.  We built a fire to keep warm.  Below is Kate holding her new dog.  Kate forgot her toy that she has to sleep with and Nana drove into town and bought her this dog to sleep with.
 Piggy hat.
 Girls in their hats.
Kids playing while Grandpa watches.  Great entertainment

Keith holding the kids.  Everyone loves Keith
Megan came over one afternoon all dressed up.  She had a sweater on with the hat on and on top she was wearing her swim suit and a skirt.  Terra says that she has to dress herself.  She is such a character.  Just love her.  Miss Megan
