Here are pictures of my eye after the first surgery to place an 18 mil plaque with iodine seeds in my eye. It was one of the 2nd largest he has put in an eye. The plaque was the size of a quarter. Ouch.

Journey
I go to Tucson on March 28th for the eye surgery. It has been a long time coming. The oncologist left the hospital so it has taken an extra month to get the surgery. In fact, I had to make an appointment with the Doctor and I was the one who told him that Dr. Hazard left the hospital. The doctor had no clue. I feel like I was sent to his office to get it going. The doctors secretary told me a week and half before I could get in and see Dr. Javid. There was a big communication gap.
I am finally at peace with the surgery. Last week at work I was so nervous thinking it might be my last week to see out of the left eye and I was driving my daughter, Marie crazy. Marie told me to go and take a walk.
It has been a hard last few weeks with the audit from the Labor Board. I am being audited for 2 years back. (after 27 years in business, someone has gone to the labor board-don't understand) I had to use my eye so much looking at papers and organizing things and the stress that my eye has been hurting real bad. Thank heavens for the herb "Graviola". When my eye would hurt I would put the liquid drops under my tongue and that would help relieve the pressure.
Interesting how the Doctors have told me that diet and herbs would not help cancer. I feel that they do help and that God has given us a body and the Word of Wisdom is our key in keeping it healthy and hopefully help fight the cancer.
I am very grateful for all the prayers said in my behalf. Last night the Young Woman in my ward brought over a blanket and they had all signed it. I just love the youth. I have received so many kind words and letters. I can't believe how many people care about me.
I have been given blessings and each time, I am promised that I will heal from this cancer. I have faith that I will heal and that I will be a stronger person. This is a trial and I will have to endure it. I will claim the blessings given to me. I will ponder on the prayers said in my behalf and know that God is there for me. I love my family and dear friends. I love my primary class. I love all the Young Woman that I have taught. I love my life. I love being a wife, mother and grandmother.
God is good.
